2010 Foothills Award from Colorado Performance Excellence (CPEx) - CPEx is a statewide program dedicated to enabling Colorado organizations to evolve and succeed through the effective application of the principles and practices embodied in the National Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. The CPEx Award recognizes organizations for their achievements in performance excellence.
 
2010 NextGen Large Practice Award - a national award recognizing their effective use of the electronic medical record to improve the quality of the care for their patients awarded to The Integrated Physician Network (iPN).
 
2010 Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses - awarded to Avista's Intensive Care Unit 
 
"Excellence Through Insight" Award from Healthstream Research - Avista's New Life Center and ICU won national awards for Outstanding Patient Satisfaction. Each received an "Excellence Through Insight" Award from Healthstream Research. These awards recognize hospitals who excel in their ability to gain insight into their patients and use that information to build excellence within the organization. As the award winner in the maternity category, Avista scored the highest of 97 hospitals evaluated. Of 250 hospitals in the ICU category, Avista was one of three in the country to be recognized.
 
The Colorado Patient Safety Coalition - recognized Avista for their Six Sigma Program and "Outstanding Contribution to Patient Safety for their creative and effective approach to solve an important problem" for Perioperative Normothermia.  (November 2009)
